Dr. Alan J. Gotcher, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Alan Gotcher brings over 25 years of leadership in material science technology companies with a proven track record in product and business development to his role of Chief Executive Officer at Xtreme Power®. During 2008 to 2011, Dr. Gotcher provided technology, business and strategy services to Fortune 500 and startup companies for large scale, energy storage systems and nano-materials based product technology. From 2004 to 2008, Alan was President, CEO and Director of Altair Nanotechnologies a nano-materials supplier for energy storage, pharmaceutical and high performance market applications, and led the product and product development efforts to place the first grid connected, multi-megawatt lithium ion battery. Alan had a successful 14 year career at Avery Dennison Corporation as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing & Technology and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Alan served in various technology leadership roles for Raychem Corporation. Alan received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Carlos Coe, Founder & Chairman

Dr. Carlos Coe is Founder and Chairman of XP®. Carlos was President and CEO of Anthony International, a $115m company with 800 employees providing merchandising systems for refrigeration. From 1994-1999, he was with Whirlpool Corporation in a variety of executive roles including VP of a $500m business unit and General Manager of a Chinese joint-venture. From 1986-1994, Carlos was employed with BDM International, a subsidiary of Ford Aerospace, and also served as the General Manager and Executive Vice President of a joint venture between Ford Aerospace and Tracor to commercialize an advanced battery technology. Carlos received his PhD and MA in Engineering from Princeton University, and a BS in Engineering from The Citadel.

Ken Hashman, Chief Financial Officer

Ken Hashman brings more than 25 years of finance and operations experience to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Xtreme Power®. Ken had a successful 17 year career at Dell Inc, helping lead Dell through its historic journey as one of the fastest growing companies of all times. At Dell, Ken served as Assistant Corporate Controller and head of SEC Reporting, Worldwide Manufacturing Controller, Executive Assistant to Vice Chairman Kevin Rollins, and Vice President/General Manager for Dell Services. Ken served on Dell's Sustainability Council and led as General Manager Dell’s Asset Recovery and Recycling Business helping to lead Dell into an industry leadership position in environmental stewardship. Prior to joining Dell, Ken served five years at Price Waterhouse Houston in the audit practice. Additionally, Ken spent the last two years prior to joining Xtreme Power as an independent consultant providing interim CFO and COO services to small businesses in the software, entertainment and high tech industries.

Jeff Layton, Vice President, Operations

Jeff Layton brings more than 20 years of high technology operations and engineering experience to XP® where he leads the planning and execution of the Company’s rapid growth plan. Jeff previously served as Vice President, Engineering at start-up companies including solar micro-inverter company SolarBridge Technologies and concentrating solar PV company Raydyne Energy Systems. He also served as Vice President, Engineering & Operations at Novacentrix Corporation and Vice President, Operations at Coldwatt Inc. Prior to his time in startups, Jeff spent 9 years at Dell, where he served as Director of Engineering, with 110 employees in both Power and Reliability Engineering with prior assignments in both server and notebook design and test, and 3M Company, where he gained world- class factory operations experience. While at Dell, Jeff chaired IEEE 1625, the Li-Ion battery manufacturing standard. Prior to joining corporate America, Jeff served 11 years as a Nuclear Submarine Officer and holds a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Academy as well as an MS in Nuclear Engineering. Jeff was awarded the Steinmetz Award in electrical engineering design from Annapolis and holds 3 patents with 2 additional patents pending.

Kin Gill, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Kin Gill joined Xtreme Power® in April 2010, having previously served as outside counsel to the company beginning in 2006.  Prior to joining Xtreme Power, Kin was a partner at the law firms Andrews Kurth and Fish & Richardson where he represented clients in the technology and energy industries for over 15 years in a broad range of corporate finance and commercial transactions.  During that time, Kin was involved in public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions having an aggregate value well in excess of $10 billion.   Before attending law school, Kin worked as a public accountant at Price Waterhouse.  Kin received his Bachelor of Accountancy and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center.

Louis J. Liu, Vice President & General Manager, Asia

Louis Liu, currently works as Vice President & General Manager, Asia, based in Beijing, China. He is responsible for overall business growth and daily operation in China and other Asia Pacific countries. Before joining Xtreme Power®, Louis was General Manager, Sales, Asia for GE Transportation from 2008-2011; he started his GE career in 2004 as Proposal and Commercial Leader for Global Locomotive Operations. Prior to joining GE, Louis held the leadership position of Business Development Director for Ericsson and multiple international assignments in the United States, Sweden, Singapore and China from 2001- 2004. Louis also gained leadership experience in International Paper, Whirlpool and Bosmar China from 1992-1999. Louis earned a B.E. degree in Material Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China in 1992 and his MBA from the University of Southern California, USA in 2001. In addition, He also attended Executive Education Programs in London Business School and Columbia Business School.
