Unlike many other energy storage providers, XP® has the ability to configure power (MW) and energy storage (MWh) ratings independently from one another, meaning you only purchase what you need. XP will perform a custom sizing study to determine which size DPR® is best for your project.
DPR 15-100C: the Containerized Unit
The DPR 15-100C has a nameplate capacity of 1.5 MVA, a 1.0 MWh of energy storage rating, and a configurable control system, all integrated to communicate and operate harmoniously with a customer's assets and infrastructure. This DPR is housed in a 40' x 11' x 11' (L x W x H) custom manufactured steel container designed for operation in any seismic zone and up to 120 mph winds. The containerized package allows for mobility and scalability. The DPR 15-100C has demonstrated performance of greater than 90% efficiency.
The energy storage component, PowerCells™, are installed in two steel racks per inverter/charger (i.e. Power Electronics). Single high racks hold 500 kWh of storage per rack, totaling 1000 kWh (i.e. 1 MWh) per inverter/charger. Double high racks each hold 1 MWh, totaling 2 MWh per inverter/charger. While not mandatory, XP suggests scaling DPRs in increments of 2 or 4 modules to save costs with grid interconnection.
The DPRs outlined are not the only sizes XP offers. DPRs can be customized further to meet a customer's individual needs, and XP recommends that interested parties contact the Company and request a quick sizing study for their individual project. The "Typical Information Request" form will summarize what information is required to perform the sizing study and develop a quote.
